Joy In Your Storm

its hard to have peace in time like this
its hard to put a genuine smile and laugh
go about my regular schedule as if everything is the same
its not the same, my life has shifted in different ways these past few months
but its good to that the one that has not shifted or drifted was God
God doesn’t change, neither does the love or grace He provides
in a world of inconsistency He is consistent
He doesn’t abandon us, forsake us, or leave us out to dry
but the only condition we must meet is keeping faith alive
you see faith is not feeling, it is not emotion, its is a mindset
often time we allow our emotions to determine our faith,
whether it be heartbreak or depression or mourning
we allow that whole in our heart to become a whole in our faith
“You and God are becoming distant but guess who moved?”
not Him, but you. Instead of asking for help you moved because
you assumed it would be easier, that eventually it would pass.
wake up, that whole you have in your heart isn’t going anywhere unless
you seek God, you can try you patch it up to the best of your ability
but it will get you no where. The same God that made you whole once
can make you whole again. but you have to want it, accept healing,
accept peace, accept grace. Accept the fact that with or without certain people
in your life you will ALWAYS be whole with God in your life. You will always be
strong, mighty, victorious, anointed, beautiful, funny,.. all those things and more.
if your identity comes from Christ Jesus, it should only evolve when He makes
changes in your life, not when people change in your life. Be joyous and be you.
For the scripture says “Always be joyous, never stop praying, and be thankful in
ALL circumstances.” nothing thrown your way shall disrupt your joy because your
joy comes from the Lord and knowing that He makes brighter tomorrows.
