LEMONADE: Walking In Active Faith

“A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition. Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my robe?” His disciples said to him, “Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me?’”

Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of him and told him what she had done.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭5:25-31, 33‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Lemonade
Wealth and fame didn't give you immunity to pain and struggle.
In order to make lemonade we need faith.
We need to break the threshold between faith merely being belief and faith being an active lifestyle.

1) Active faith is not diluted by failure
Jesus isn't to occupied to be committed to you! Jesus was on his way to healed someone's daughter but he was still able to bless this woman.

She was doing the best to try to fix her problem but it wasn't working, it was only getting worse. Things may fail, but I'm not failure. Don't turn into your circumstance!!
Continue to be faithful!

We often don't give God or the church as much faith as we give people!!

So she heard about Jesus an gave him a try! Jesus can do anything but fail!
Don't allow what people don't do to get you to mess up your relationship with Christ.

2) It is fueled by expectation
We need to have faith in God's ability to do the impossible.
We are not told how her issue started nor how her faith started.
She went to Jesus because she heard about his goodness!

Who's faith is being increased because of how you speak about Jesus? Are you provoking people to try Jesus and touch his garment.

Making lemonade is about seeing the value of the lemonade. It takes faith and knowing that God's word is true!

The woman touched God discreetly to protect herself and him.
You don't have you protect God from your mess! He knows your messy and loves you anyway! God won't let you clean up your mess by yourself, you can't even do it if you tried!

3) Active faith is met with a divine response
She felt that she had been changed. God is more than a feeling but sometimes it's great to feel the change he had made in you.

Don't let people try to bring you back to your old self!

What's the point of feeling God if God can't feel you?
God felt her touch Him with faith and expectation? Who is believing in me so greatly?
Do you have a unique touch to Jesus in your worship?

Jesus didn't stop until he got the testimony he was looking for. There was a 12 year old year on the other side of the story. This was bigger than her! It was people seeing the goodness of God and increasing their faith.

Why are we so scared to share our testimony?
If the crowd knew how you once were they would view you differently! But we shouldn't have shame in our testimony, we should be glad to tell people that God has delivered us!

All storms look bad in isolation. But there's more to the story.
